Ageless Galaxy continues to connect and collaborate. This time, the Jakarta-based streetwear brand has partnered with Swodshit, a street artist from Semarang, whose work has achieved international recognition.
The graffiti and mural works of this artist, who chooses to keep his identity hidden, can be found in Semarang, across Java, and abroad in countries like China and Malaysia. This unique appeal is one of the key reasons Ageless Galaxy invited him to collaborate.
Ageless Galaxy operates with a clear principle and mentality embodied in the phrase *“Whatever It Takes.”* This phrase, along with its space-themed concept, stems from the idea that while the universe is infinite, our time and opportunities are limited. According to Ageless Galaxy, this perspective should inspire people to create and do their best under any circumstances, for as long as they have time.
Swodshit shares a similar mindset, emphasizing the importance of consistent effort in creating his art. Although the street art scene in Semarang is not as vibrant as in other cities, Swodshit remains committed and passionate about his craft. No matter the challenges, he continues to create.
Moreover, Ageless Galaxy aims to highlight the city of Semarang, which may not yet be widely recognized internationally. “We can collaborate not only with artists from the capital city. Across Java, there are many unique artists like Swodshit, alongside the rich stories and history of their cities,” they stated.
Through this collaboration, Ageless Galaxy seeks to introduce Swodshit to a broader audience, showing that there are talented individuals from Indonesia whose work has reached global acclaim.
The Ageless Galaxy x Swodshit collaboration event took place on November 27, 2021, exclusively at the Ageless Galaxy Flagship Store, from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM WIB.
The event featured a live mural performance by Swodshit in front of the Ageless Galaxy Flagship Store.
Additionally, Swodshit’s live painting was auctioned, with the proceeds donated to Lions Club, a non-profit organization focused on humanitarian efforts. Check out their Instagram to learn more about the organization.
